Bolivia angered by “Imperialist” states exercising power over the Security Council

THE GUARDIAN – After a near-constant back and forth between Bolivia and states they have described as “imperialist” (the United Kingdom, United States, and France), the disagreement continues.

Members of the P5 offended Bolivia again after deleting a clause from a working paper that Bolivia said would “save lives”, specifically the lives of the Rohingya people, who Bolivia has classified as “refugees.”

According to Bolivia, this proves that the US, UK, and France “do not, and have not ever cared about refugees.”

Unfortunately for Bolivia, as long as the P5 have veto power, they can continue to exercise their power over the Security Council as they see fit.
