The Washington Times has received news from confidential and trusted sources from Capitol Hill that the United States is closely monitoring the situation of Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the United Kingdom. Speculations are that if Assange gets extradited to Sweden, the United States will be seeking to request his extradition to the United States. Neither the White House or the Congress have commented on this yet, and refuse to answer any questions relating to the situation.
